This 3 day international workshop aims to provide an overview of the safety of animal feed and its contribution to human nutrition.
To achieve this aim the workshop will examine the analytical methods which can be applied to ensure the safety of animal feed and the contribution that feed safety makes to the human food chain using a series of presentations by analytical test kit suppliers and key workers in teh area of animal feed production and animal husbandry.
Topics to be covered include:
- The potential risks associated with animal feed.
- The detection of mycotoxins and other undesireable contaminants in animal fee.
- The impact of mycotoxins and other contaminants on animal and fish development.
- The safe storage and processing of animal feeds.
- Links between animal feed and human nutrition.
