Vita-Market Ltd is one of the elements of Vitan Group which is based on a production facility Vitan Ltd., which had been formerly a part of the Open Society 'Dneprovsky Starch-Treacle Industrial Complex' located in Dnepropetrovsk area, Ukraine.

Production of carotenoids by microbiological synthesis was started at the enterprise in August 1981. A unique, ecologically pure technology was based on the use of industrial microorganisms, the Blakeslea trispora fungus, which is a super producer of natural carotenoids. For the development of the perfected technology of beta-carotene manufacturing the State Prize of Ukraine was awarded in 1991 to a group of authors. The professionalism of the staff and its successful activity guarantees the quality of the products. These resulted in designing of new strains, perfection of the manufacturing technology, developing of new products, and the promotion of natural microbiological carotenoids for various applications.

Today, the Vitan Ltd facility is the only producer of natural carotenoids in Ukraine.

The carotenoid products, manufactured at Vitan Ltd, are widely used as food colorants; feed additives; functional food ingredients; and dietary supplements.


We focuse on manufacturing of beta-carotene and lycopene from fungi Blakeslea Trispora. We suggest beta-carotene to our customers in a form of dry red powder with 6-7% of pure beta-carotene. It is an initial raw material in production of beta-carotene products for various applications. And at the same time Biomass is also used as a feed ingredient.
