Schothorst Feed Research is a consultancy and research organisation with customers (feed companies and suppliers of the feed industry) in 15 countries. The knowledge of SFR is used by 70 of the Dutch feed compounders. The activities of SFR are:

- Technical support of the feed industry.
- Consultancy on implementation of quality assurance in the feed industry

The core competence of SFR are feed evaluation and raw material knowledge and apllication of academic knowledge into practical feed formulation
